Card Payments

The goal of VirgoCX is to make buying and selling cryptocurrencies for all Canadians simple and diversified. We're pleased to announce that the card trading function is now available! 

Currently, we only support Credit/Debit Card function which is only feasible for Quick Buy Trade and Buy Market Orders.

How to Trade Using Cards?

• Log in to your VirgoCX Account, click “Trade” on the top navigation bar and go to Advanced Trade Section or Quick Trade section.
• Select your desired crypto and the amount you want to purchase, then choose Credit/Debit card payment method and click “Buy”.
  • Please be aware that processing costs for credit and debit cards varies:
    
    • Credit Card: 3.99% (Min $1)
    • Debit Card: 2.99% (Min $1)

• You will get a confirmation of your order that includes the fee and the total amount you purchased. Click “Continue” to process.

• After confirmation, you will be brought to the card section, please fill in all the necessary details. You can choose to save the card for future use. 

• Congratulations, you have successfully placed a market order using your card!

Important Notes

• The processing fee on the above example is for illustration purposes. Please refer to the actual processing fee listed on the deposit page.

• You will receive a request confirmation from your bank after your first successful transaction.

Transaction did not go through

1. If you encountered the following error message, please double-check the following information and try again later
   1. Card number
   2. Your name
   3. CVV
   4. Billing information

2. If you encountered the following error message, and if you confirm the information provided is correct, please contact your card provider. Some banks may not support this type of payment service.

Transaction Details

If you want to view your card trading transaction or download Trade Confirmation, please go to “Account Activity” -> “Trade”-> “Order History”.

Important Note

Please note that the credit/debit card processing fee may be changed to any value in the respective processing fee range inclusive of the minimum and maximum values at VirgoCX's sole discretion without prior notice. You will receive 30 days prior notice should the processing fee range change or if the processing fee is to exceed the maximum of the respective processing fee range.
