How to Set Up a Limit Order?

**Since the limit order would only be executed if it hits the specified price (or better), please note that your fund will be on hold in your VirgoCX account when you set up a limit order. ** 

(For PC Version) You may cancel your unexecuted order by navigating to the Open Orders area on the dashboard. 

(For App Version) You may cancel your unexecuted order by navigating to the Account, choosing My Orders, going to Open Orders and cancelling your on-hold order.  

For PC Version  

• Log in to your VirgoCX account  
• Go to the Market section at the top of the page
• Select the cryptocurrency you would like to purchase, Click "Buy"
•

For Buy Limit Order: If the current BTC market price is CAD 50,000, and you want to buy at CAD 48,000 for 1 BTC, you can enter $48,000 for the price section, enter the amount of BTC you would like to purchase or select the percentage of your balance and click “Buy BTC” to place your order.  

For Sell Limit Order: If the current BTC market price is CAD 50,000, and you want to sell at CAD 55,000 for 1 BTC, you can enter $55,000 for the price section, enter the amount of BTC you would like to sell or select the percentage of owning BTC balance and click “Sell BTC” to place your order. 

For Phone Version 

• Log in to your VirgoCX account with the app  
• Go to the Trade section locates in the middle of the bottom 
• Below the Advanced Trade section-Limit order, select the cryptocurrency you would like to buy/sell, we choose BTC/CAD as our example
• 

For Buy Limit Order: If the current BTC market price is CAD 50,000, and you want to buy at around CAD 48,000 for 1 BTC, you can enter $48,000 for the price section, manually enter the amount of BTC you would like to purchase or select the percentage of your balance and click “Buy BTC” to place your order. 

For Sell Limit Order: If the current BTC market price is CAD 50,000, and you want to sell at around CAD 55,000 for 1 BTC, you can enter $55,000 for the price section, manually enter the amount of BTC you would like to sell or select the percentage of owning BTC balance and click “Sell BTC” to place your order. 

** Please note that the percentages below the price and amount sections are shortcuts to how much you would like to spend based on your current CAD or USD balance in your VirgoCX account. For example, if you only hold CAD 70 in your VirgoCX account, you would like to spend 50% of your fund to buy 1 BTC ($50,000 for 1 BTC as you set above). The amount you can purchase is 0.0014.  **
